What are poppers anyway?
Poppers are volatile liquids based on alkyl nitrites (e.g. pentyl nitrite, isopropyl nitrite). They are inhaled and have a short-term relaxing, pulse-boosting and euphoric effect. Originally they were used medicinally, but today they are particularly popular in the party scene and during sex.
Are poppers legal in Germany?
The sale of poppers is legal in Germany. Our products are labeled as room air aromas. Consumption is at your own risk.
Why is isobutyl nitrite banned?
Isobutyl nitrite is suspected of being carcinogenic and highly irritating to the skin. It is therefore banned by law in many countries, including Germany. We do not carry any products with this active ingredient.
Are there vegan or cruelty-free poppers?
Our products contain no animal ingredients and, as far as we are aware, are not tested on animals. We make every effort to select ethically responsible manufacturers.
Can poppers be addictive?
Poppers are not physically addictive, but can lead to a craving if used regularly. If you notice that you "always need it", you should consciously take breaks.
How can I tell whether a product is still "good"?
Pay attention to:
Odor: not too pungent or acidic Color: no cloudiness or discoloration Effect: defined within a short time If the product loses its development, it may be "used up". How do pets react to poppers vapors?
Poppers can be highly toxic to animals.
Never use in rooms where there are cats, dogs or small animals. Always ventilate well. Keep bottles out of reach. Are there any religious or spiritual concerns regarding its use?
Poppers are considered "unclean" in some religious cultures.
It remains a personal decision as to whether their use is compatible with one's own values. How do I talk to my partner about poppers if he/she is skeptical?
